The SOLUTION

Catalytic Pyrolysis — Waste Into resources,

on Site

Pyrotec Global deploys catalytic pyrolysis technology specifically engineered to handle the contaminated, mixed, and hard-to-recycle plastic streams that define Mongolia's real-world waste landscape. Unlike incineration or conventional pyrolysis, our catalytic process operates at lower temperatures, requires much less energy input, and produces high-value outputs.

The system is designed for cold-climate deployment — insulated, modular, and operable through Mongolian winters without performance degradation. Units can be co-located with landfill sites, district heating plants, or industrial facilities, minimizing feedstock transport and maximizing offtake efficiency.

Outputs - tyres pyrolysis

Catalytic pyrolysis converts prepared tyre chips into four saleable streams

01 Tyre pyrolysis oil — Liquid fraction for further refining or industrial use.

02 Recovered carbon black — Solid carbon for compounding and material pathways.

03 Process gas — Retained for on-site heat in the process train.

04 Recovered steel — Sold locally through established scrap channels.

Closed loop, EPR and PRO

  • Extended producer responsibility (EPR) and Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) schemes are expanding across markets. Our modules give obligated producers an audited recovery route: materials and energy recovered on site, outputs sold, nothing landfilled.
  • Four streams from one tyre feed, each with an established route to market.
Outputs - plastic waste pyrolysis

Mixed plastic waste runs on a separate module and yield one product: oil, at up to 85%

Never blended with tyres. Same pyrolysis principle, a plastics-specific catalyst, no rCB and no steel

Collect and sort

  • Mixed post-consumer and post-industrial plastics, including films and multi-layer packaging that mechanical recycling always reject.

Prepare and dry

  • Remove moisture and contaminants; size-reduce into a consistent, free-flowing feed when the stream needs it.
  • Some unsorted plastic waste can go in without prior shredding.

Catalytic conversion

  • A separate, plastics-specific module.
  • The catalyst steers the reaction towards oil and lowers the reaction temperature.

Condense and stabilise

  • Vapours are condensed into pyrolysis oil at up to 85% yield; non-condensable gas is retained for process heat.

Single output:

  • Oil only, traded through offtakers for further refining or industrial use.
  • The plastics module produces no recovered carbon black and no steel.

Why it matters:

  • Mixed plastic is the fraction the recycling chain struggles with.
  • A second, independent module adds volume to a host site without touching the tyre train.
